Esmeralda

Here is Esmeralda. She is a fall themed doll. After trying out several colors I decided to give her blue hair. Long time ago when I was in a junior college in India, I had taken a batik class. I decided to try out my talent again with this pumpkin batik for the apron. I am pretty happy with the result. I also beaded the apron and the skirt. The hat has lots of swarovski crystals and also sequence.

The doll is my own pattern and I also made her face mask.

Thanks Tami and Shashi. She was fun to make and kept me good company for quite a while. Now she is getting ready to go to India with me in December.

She is a work of art!!! -- And those soulful eyes! You really out do yourself with every doll :) Is she going to be a present for someone lucky in India or keeping your little one company while you travel? Please do stop by if you come to Hampton for thanksgiving and bring the doll so I can see her in person :)
