My friends often ask me how long it takes me to make one of my dolls. I decided that this would be a great one to time myself. After 3 hours and 50 minutes, here is where I am. I am still not happy with the results and might have to change the torso again but for now this is where I am.
I made two left sides for the back of the torso and had to start making the torso again with a new fabric. I ran out of the original fabric and used muslin in stead. Since the stretch is different for this muslin, the head turned out too long. I plan to use it as a practice head. But if the face painting comes out good, I might even use it for this doll :-). Now I am off to gesso the head/face and then on to face painting. I can do it! I can!

Heera she is looking great and yes you can do it. When she is finished she will be gorgeous.
Can't wait to see it finished :)
I've never heard of a Maggie Bessie doll. I'll have to go an look them up.
Isn't it always a surprise to see how much different cottons will stretch and stuff for doll parts?
