Even though the theme for this swap was Sleeping Beauty, I was trying very hard to fit the seven dwarfs into the story. For most part of last month I was planning to make the dwarfs until I realized that it is Snow White's story that has the seven dwarfs and not Sleeping Beauty's. I had to then reread the story and decide on what to make. Here is what I came up with: a wall hanging with Sleeping Beauty on one side,( only she is awake!) and the wicked fairy (Maleficent) on the other. I used the old book illustration style to draw the characters. It was quite a challenge for me to use such subdued colors.

Did you paint the figures on cloth? very well done! I had to laugh when I read about the dwarves --if you hadn't mentioned it I wouldn't have noticed that they belong in a different story either. Glad you can't see the sheepish look on my face :)
Isn't it funny how we adults get mixed up with our childhood stories. Been there done that too lol!
I love what you have done with the wall hanging. Lovely idea.
